Join The Ivy Office team.

Working at The Ivy Office.

The Ivy Office is a focused advisory practice. Our work sits at the intersection of strategy and business performance, which means the people we bring in need to think well and engage directly with difficult commercial questions.

Employees at every level are expected to take ownership of their work and bring judgement to the problems in front of them whilst staying engaged with the substance of each mandate. There is no large team to diffuse responsibility, at The Ivy Office, we take matters into our own hands.

Our work spans sectors including energy, infrastructure, maritime, technology, mining, manufacturing, and logistics. Analysts should expect to move between these sectors as client needs shift and should be comfortable doing so.

What We Look For

We look for people who learn by doing.

We are looking for people who want to learn by doing and who are motivated by the quality of the work rather than the prestige of the setting.

  • A strong analytical mind with the discipline to apply it consistently
  • The ability to produce clear, well-reasoned written work
  • An interest in international business and how markets work in practice
  • Comfort with sectors where operations, regulation and commercial decisions interact closely
  • The confidence to contribute directly on live assignments without waiting to be guided through every step

What working here looks like.

Analysts at The Ivy Office work on live mandates from the start. That may mean researching a market, building out a financial or sector analysis, helping to prepare client-facing material or supporting a senior team member as a mandate develops. The work is demanding and the standards are high.

You will not be insulated from client work. You will be expected to contribute to it.

The firm is based in Singapore, which means the work carries an international frame of reference from the outset. Many mandates involve markets across Southeast Asia, and familiarity with that region is useful though not required.

Current Opportunities

Market Analyst

Location: Singapore Type: Full-time Practice: Strategy Consulting

The Market Analyst role supports The Ivy Office's Strategy Consulting practice on client mandates centred on growth direction and market entry. The work is research-led and commercially focused, requiring someone who can translate market information into clear analysis that directly informs strategic recommendations.

This is an early-career role, though it carries considerable responsibility. Analysts are expected to contribute to the quality of the work itself rather than support it from a distance. The role suits a candidate who is motivated by market and sector questions and who wants to develop experience inside a focused advisory setting.

What you will do

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on target markets to support growth strategy and market entry mandates
  • Build sector analyses that examine competitive conditions, demand drivers, and commercial dynamics in markets where clients are considering a move
  • Prepare market sizing and opportunity assessments that underpin strategic recommendations
  • Track sector developments across The Ivy Office's core industries and identify shifts that carry commercial relevance for clients
  • Support the preparation of client-facing materials including written assessments, briefing notes, and presentation documents
  • Assist senior advisers with commercial due diligence support by researching market conditions around acquisition targets or investment opportunities

What we are looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree from a strong academic institution with demonstrated analytical ability
  • 1-2 years of experience in a market research, strategy, investment, or commercially focused analytical role
  • The ability to assemble and interpret market information and present findings in a well-structured written form
  • An interest in the sectors The Ivy Office advises in, with particular relevance to Energy, Infrastructure, Maritime, or Logistics
  • Familiarity with Southeast Asian markets is useful but not a requirement
  • Strong written English and the discipline to produce work that can go directly to a client
